We will respond when we can and as the Lord may lead. Those who want to encourage others with this study may find these ideas useful:
-
Organize a Bible study, discussion, debate or mock jury to consider who wrote the fourth gospel and the evidence on the beloved disciple that has been preserved for us in the biblical record. (If you would like the author of TDWJL to visit your group or church to speak or debate on this topic you can email info@tdwjl.com and we will contact you about scheduling.)
-
If you blog or are in forums discussing Bible topics, then raise the question, “Who was the author of the fourth gospel”? Post links to TDWJL to help others find this free eBook. You can tie the link to:
http://BelovedDiscipleBibleStudy.com
or directly to the online study in html:
http://BelovedDiscipleBibleStudy.com/beloved_disciple_who_Jesus_loved
or to the page with the eBook links:

or to any other page on this site that you’d like people see first.
-
Get the religion editor of your paper to review The Disciple Whom Jesus Loved (TDWJL). If there is a Christian newspaper in your area or if you subscribe to a Christian magazine or journals, then ask them to do a review of this beloved disciple Bible study. If they would like to do a point/counterpoint type article, then they could find a scholar to defend the idea that John wrote the Gospel of John and the author will write an article of the same length to explain why the John tradition is not biblical.
-
Printing the books is expensive. So if you use the printer-friendly feature to print of copies of this Bible study to share with others that is a great help. Consider printing out one particular chapter and give it to a friend or pastor to encourage them to weigh the Bible facts that are presented in this study.
-
Burn a CD with the sermon on the beloved disciple and the other tracks on the Listen Online page. It is easier for some people to listen to a CD than to find time to read a book and audio CD's are cheap to ship.
-
Put a note about this site in your church bulletin. Tell your friends about the book and this site (those who hear about the book from a friend are more likely to give the evidence a fair hearing).
-
Send us your comments. Tell us if this has inspired more respect for God's word and how this has changed your Bible study habits.
-
Pray for God to bless those who are willing to let go of their tradition in response to the truth that they have discovered in the scripture. Also, please pray that the Lord would enable us to produce more Bible-only based study books that will draw people closer to God's word.
